About Prep Basketball & Post-Grad Programs
A post-graduate (PG) year is an additional year of basketball training and academics taken after completing high school, before enrolling in college. Athletes use a PG year to improve their game, strengthen their academic profile, earn new college offers, or upgrade existing offers to a higher division. FCP's post-grad program is one year, based in Fort Walton Beach, FL, and has placed 500+ athletes at D1, D2, NAIA, and JUCO programs across 43 states. Learn about FCP's post-grad program.
A basketball prep school structures the entire day around athlete development — training, film study, strength work, academics, and recruiting exposure. At FCP, student-athletes train twice daily at our 14,000 sq ft Spartan Training Center, complete NCAA-approved coursework, and compete on a national schedule against other top prep programs and college developmental teams. This contrasts with a traditional high school where athletics are one extracurricular among many. Prep schools are specifically designed to produce college-ready student-athletes.
FCP athletes have signed with programs across all levels — NCAA D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO. The majority of placements are at the NAIA and JUCO level, with a strong and growing number of D1 and D2 signings each year. Every athlete's path is different: some arrive with no offers and leave with multiple; others arrive with a D2 offer and leave with D1 interest. The goal is always to maximize each individual's placement. View our full alumni commitment list.
Yes. FCP has enrolled athletes from more than 22 countries including Canada, Australia, Nigeria, Senegal, France, Germany, and across the Caribbean and South America. International athletes follow the same program structure and have access to the same recruiting resources. FCP staff assists with the visa and enrollment process. Apply through our international application.
FCP's academic program is built around NCAA-approved coursework and a dual-enrollment partnership with Colorado Christian University (CCU), a regionally accredited university. This means athletes can earn college credits while completing their prep year. Our academics are designed to satisfy NCAA initial eligibility requirements and support transition to four-year institutions. Learn more about academics at FCP.
