About Hofstra Pride Basketball

Hofstra men's basketball competes in the Coastal Athletic Association on Long Island, New York, under head coach Speedy Claxton. The program combines rigorous academics with competitive Division I basketball in a conference known for developing talent and creating tournament opportunities. Hofstra's location provides easy access to one of the nation's largest metropolitan areas while maintaining a close-knit community feel. Claxton, a former NBA player and experienced coach, emphasizes player development and building a winning culture rooted in discipline and accountability. The Pride compete against strong CAA opponents and provide opportunities for meaningful playing time and development. Recruits who value a balanced college experience with excellent academic resources, quality coaching, and the chance to compete at a legitimate Division I level should seriously consider contacting Hofstra's coaching staff.

Getting recruited at this level requires more than raw talent — coaches need to see your film at the right moment, your eligibility paperwork must be in order, and your tournament exposure has to match the standard the program is recruiting to.
