Washington hosts a tight cluster of NCAA Division III basketball programs competing within the Northwest Conference (NWC), one of the most academically prestigious D3 leagues in the country. Washington NWC members include George Fox University (Oregon), Lewis and Clark College (Oregon), Linfield University (Oregon), Pacific Lutheran University, Puget Sound University, Whitman College, and Whitworth University.
