About Florida Atlantic Owls Basketball

Florida Atlantic men's basketball competes in the American Conference, one of the nation's most competitive mid-major conferences featuring consistent NCAA Tournament contenders. Head coach John Jakus leads a program committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the court in a supportive, winning culture. Located in Boca Raton, FAU provides an excellent academic environment where players pursue meaningful degrees while competing at a high level. The Owls play in a conference known for intense regular-season competition and tournament opportunities that prepare players for professional paths. Jakus emphasizes player development, accountability, and building a team-first mentality that extends beyond basketball. Recruits interested in playing for a program that values education, challenges them daily, and competes for conference titles should reach out to the Florida Atlantic coaching staff. The Owls offer an opportunity to play meaningful basketball while earning a degree from a respected institution.

Getting recruited at this level requires more than raw talent — coaches need to see your film at the right moment, your eligibility paperwork must be in order, and your tournament exposure has to match the standard the program is recruiting to.
