IMG Academy in Bradenton is one of the best-known sports academies in the world. It is also large, multi-sport, and premium-priced. Families who search IMG Academy alternatives usually want one of three things: a smaller roster, a basketball-first campus, or a clearer all-in cost before they commit.
This page is neutral. IMG is a strong fit for many elite recruits. Alternatives are strong fits for different player profiles.
When an alternative can make sense
- Your player is not yet on high-major recruiting boards and needs reps, film, and staff time.
- You prefer a basketball-only daily environment instead of a multi-sport campus.
- You want written pricing and a recruiting plan tied to realistic division targets (D1 mid-major, D2, NAIA, JUCO).

FCP as an IMG alternative (fit, not hype)
Florida Coastal Prep is not trying to replicate IMG’s scale. We are a basketball-only academy with an intentionally small roster, the Spartan Training Center, supervised housing, and recruiting support for players who need development before college.
