What was the final score when FCP Sunshine opened against IMG Academy? Florida Coastal Prep’s Sunshine team opened its 2025-26 season on a high note Friday, handling IMG Academy 81-55 at home in a performance that set a clear tone for the year ahead.
From the opening tip, FCP Sunshine controlled tempo and dictated the terms of play. The Spartans built their lead steadily in the first half, using ball movement and defensive pressure to limit IMG Academy, one of the most scouted programs in the country, to well below its offensive averages. By halftime, the margin was comfortable, and the Sunshine squad continued to push in the second half, finishing with a 26-point victory that was never seriously in doubt after the midpoint of the second quarter. The 81 points were a product of pace and efficiency, not just volume, the Spartans attacked gaps in the defense and converted clean looks throughout.
This win opens a full SIAA schedule for the Sunshine team, one of FCP’s three competitive squads. See upcoming games on the high school schedule and current players on the team roster.
