Florida Coastal Prep is ranked No. 4 in the Florida Sun Basketball Conference (FSBC) 2026-27 preseason Top 10. It was a week of recognition, alumni highlights, and a full weekend of games across Florida, and everyone in the program is safe and together.

Where is FCP ranked in the Florida Sun Basketball Conference?
The FSBC 2026-27 preseason Top 10 lists Florida Coastal Prep at No. 4, behind Next Level Basketball Prep, Maranatha Academy, and Florida Sports Coast. The conference is organized by the Post High School Basketball Association (PHSBA), which publishes the Florida Sun Basketball Conference Top 10.
We’re grateful for the recognition, but preseason rankings don’t play the games. Our guys went right back to work.
What is a post-grad basketball program?
A post-grad (postgraduate) year is an extra year of school and basketball after a player finishes high school. Players use it to keep developing, add film, and earn college opportunities. Our post-grad basketball program competes on a national schedule from Fort Walton Beach.
Families often compare a post-grad year with JUCO. JUCO means junior college, a two-year college path. Most JUCO programs compete in the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association). Our guide to JUCO vs. post-grad basketball walks through the differences.
What games did FCP play this weekend?
On Friday, Oct. 23, our high school basketball team played John Melvin College in Pensacola. It was a game against an older, more experienced college team, and good experience for our guys.
Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 24-25, FCP had a full schedule across Florida:
- Bushnell: FCP Red and FCP Black at the Florida Sun Basketball Conference Fall Festival Circuit at South Sumter High School.
- Lake Worth: FCP Post Grad at Palm Beach State College on Saturday.
- Miami: FCP Post Grad vs. Prestige Academy PG at the Post Grad Basketball League Prep & Post Grad Jamboree on Sunday.
The Bushnell games were set to stream live on the PHSBA Network on YouTube. Thank you to every family who cheered from home.

How are FCP alumni doing in college basketball?
This week we shared two alumni stories on X. With seven seconds left, Brandon Maclin drove baseline for the go-ahead layup in DePaul’s 72-71 win over Creighton on Feb. 11, 2026, as described in DePaul’s official recap. See Brandon’s play on X.
Kylin Green went from FCP to Division I basketball at Houston Christian, by way of Daytona State and Utah Valley, according to his official HCU player biography. He made the winning basket against Northwestern State on Jan. 19, 2026. See Kylin’s post on X.
Watch their full stories in FCP alumni films: Nathan, Brandon, and Kylin, and see where more Spartans have signed on our college commitments page.
What’s next for FCP?
We’ll share game times for the coming week once they’re confirmed. Post-grad and 2027/2028 transfer spots are open now. See our post on X or call 850.961.2323.
